On July 27, 1869, Marie Anna Dlouhy was six months old when she and her mother, Anna (Hlinovsky) Dlouhy left for America with Anna's brother John Hlinovsky and family, leaving from Hamburg, Germany. Marie's father, Anton Dlouhy, was forced to stay behind while the group sailed away, arriving New York on August 17, 1869. Upon arrival, they proceeded to Racine County, Wisconsin. Marie lived with uncle John and family while Anna was either married to, or in a common law relationship with, Matt Roberts. Anna and Matt had a daughter Emma. The 1880 census lists Anna as widowed with Marie and Emma. Later that year, finally after 11 years, Anton joined the family. A year later, their son Anton was born.

On April 2, 1888, Marie married Cenek Totusek in McLeod County, Minnesota, and they had at least six children. The 1900 census shows them in Minnesota, and shortly after that, they moved to Washington. Cenek died in 1903. A year later on May 1, 1904, Marie married Louis M Wraspir. They had five children. Between 1905 and 1910, Marie's parents left Minnesota and moved in with the family. Anton died in 1912, and Anna followed in 1914.

On June 3, 1950, Louis, who was residing in Irby, was in Odessa when he dropped dead on the street. On January 28, 1955, Marie died.
