Anna Marie Uhrich, 96, formerly of Michell, died May 25, 2006 at the Lake Norden Care Center, Lake Norden, SD. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be at the church from 8:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Milltown Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Ann was born on June 17, 1909, at Irby, Washington to Louis and Marie Anna (Dlouhy) Wraspir. She graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa, Washington and St. Lukes School of Nursing in Spokane. Anna was united in marriage to Herman John Uhrich on July 5, 1931 at Tacoma, Washington. They moved to South Dakota and raised their family around the Mitchell area. Anna practiced nursing at Methodist Hospital in Mitchell for 23 years. She resided at Riverside and Wesley Acres until 1999 when she moved to Lake Norden, SD. Anna resided at Homestead Assisted Living and Beverly Healthcare Center until her passing. She is survived by her children: Clifford (Sandra) Uhrich, Davenport, IA, Victor Uhrich and Darlene Baldwin, Pensacola, FL, Anna (Clark) Hilton, Lake Norden, SD, Fern (Lester) Mason, Clinton, MO, Lillian (Lynn) Haug, Lake Norden, SD, John (Connie) Uhrich, Cedar, MN, Dwight Uhrich, Dallas, TX, Gil Uhrich, Yankton, SD, Colleen Beachler, Tucson, AZ, and one son-in-law, Richard (Wanda) Leach; thirty-eight grandchildren, seventy-eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen Wraspir, Quincy, WA and Rehardt Caylor, Mitchell, SD, two brothers-in-law, Morris (Bernadette) Uhrich, Centennial, CO, and Gilbert Uhrich, Parkson, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1977, her daughter, Marjorie Leach, two grandsons, Daniel Elfring, and Randall Leach, great grandson, John Nance and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Anne Uhrich, seven half brothers and half sisters and four brothers.
