Wilda Irene Sherry, 95, of Sandy Lake, formerly of Timblin, died at 6:30 am Saturday, March 21, 1998 at United Community Hospital in Grove City.

Born September 1, 1902, in Porter Township, she was a daughter of Alfred Wesley Bish and Annie Myrtle Gahagan Bish.

Wilda married Erbie Leotus Sherry on 1 Jul 1924 in Ringgold Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. He preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Sherry was a homemaker. She was a member of Timblin United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sherry is survived by a son, Robert M Sherry of Sandy Lake, with whom she had made her home since 1987; four grandchildren, Mary Ellen Wiese, Greta Gilmore, Carolyn Reed and Annette Burke: two step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

She also is survived by two brothers, Gary Bish of New York, and Alfred Bish of Stoneboro; and two sisters, Bessie McCurdy of Newton Falls, Ohio and Alice Alford of Butler.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sherry was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant, and Frank Bish; and a sister, Lula McMillan.

Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday at the Charles D Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The Rev. Steven Lamb, pastor of Timblin United Methodist Church, officiated.

Interment was in Timblin Cemetery, Jefferson County.
