Services foe Theodore Roosevelt Decker, 44, were held at the Swenson Ave Baptist church with Joel V. Grimes and H.S. Henson officiating.
Mr. Decker moved to Jones County in 1904. He was killed with a gun shot wound. L.G. Vassar was the first man to find him. He went after C.E. Carlton and Roy Sconce who then notified officer Keith Whitt.
J.T. Bright and Bascom went out after Whitt came and notified J.H.K. and George. They went at 11 a.m. with Sheriff Dunwoody, Deputy Sheriff O.D. Woody and Stamford Police Officer Sanders.
Miss Uvalde Decker was the informant.
