Ex-Mayor Schmitz Widow Dies in S. F.
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 27, Mrs. Julia Schmitz, widow of former Mayor Eugene Schmiti, died today at her home, 1450 Green Street, after a long illness. Schmitz, who died five years ago was three times mayor and twice a supervisor. Since his death, Mrs. Schmitz has lived with her daughter, Evelyn, and a sister, Margaret Driscoll. Also Surviving are another daughter, Sister Mary Isabel of the Dominican order of San Rafael; another sister, Mrs. John D. Murphy, and five brothers, John, Richard, Jerry, Bert and Dan Driscoll.
