Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Riley Fugitt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rule Cemetery with Pinkard Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Ashley was born Nov. 24, 1872, in Smith County and married J. Price Ashley there June 14, 1891. Mr. Ashley was engaged in farming until his death in 1938.
Mrs. Ashley was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, C. B. Ashley of Weinert and County Commissioner Claud Ashley of Haskell; one daughter, Mrs. Exa Lott of Rule; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Johnson of California, Mrs. Grace Strong of Amarillo and Mrs. Harry Wall of Dallas; four brothers, Ferrell Pool of Roanoke, La., Carl of Dallas, Earl of Beaumont and Marshall of Arlington, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children.
Grandsons will be active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl Norman, Bill Lees, S. Townsend, Boyce Foil, Otis Simpson, Weldon Norman, M. McKinney and Jim Norman.
