"POSTMASTER AT ROTHSVILLE DIES - Harry Y. Adams was 63: Fire Co. Treasurer
Harry Y. Adams, postmaster at Rothsville for the past 15 years, died at his home in Rothsville today at 3:40 a. m. after an illness of 15 months. He was sixty-three years old. His death recalls the famous Rothsville Whitmonday horse races held in the town from 1885 to 1917. He was among the "old-timers" who assisted with the gala events.

BORN IN MILLPORT a son of the late Benjamin and Olive [sic] Young Adams, he was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville, and served as treasurer of the Rothsville Fire Co. Surviving are his wife, Amelia Fry Adams, and these children: Irene, wife of Ivan Leeking, Millway; Marguerite, at home; Beulah, wife of Walter Bair, this city; Woodrow, Rothsville; and Harry, Akron; also ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; and these brothers and sisters: Wilmer, Rothsville; Emma, wife of Harry Johnson, Akron; Bessie, wife of Cyrus Singer, Farmersville; Frank, this city; and Homer, Lititz."
