Bruse was born a twin to Brise and was a son of Margaret L Mayhew (Hale) (1839-1878) and George Franklin (1841-1886) Dollahon. They had 6 children 4 boys and 2 girls.
Margaret died October 6, 1878, at the age of 38 years. Six days after the birth of their twin sons, Brise & Bruse, who were born October 1, 1878. Then sadly, Brise died on October 25, 1878 and Bruse died on October 30, 1878.
The twins are buried by their parents.
