Mrs. Sarah Frances George Lake, 84, of East Ridge, died at her residence Friday morning.

Mrs. Lake was born in Decatur, AL . She was the widow of Thomas S. Lake & daughter of the late Francis & Mary Elizabeth George.

She was a member of the Ridgedale Methodist Church. She has been a resident of Chattanooga for 35 years.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Howell, Chickamauga, Mrs. Edith Vandiver, & Mrs. Opal Wilkinson, Chattanooga; Mrs. Mary Short, Ringgold, Ga, and Mrs. Evelyn Ligon, Kinnesaw, Ga; five sons, Frank Lake & Roy Lake, Chattanooga; Ira Lake, Rising Fawn, GA; John Lake, Rossville, Ga, & Paul Lake, San Jose, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Ada Snodgrass, Chattanooga; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Lovelace & the Rev. Albert L. Brewster officiating. Additional services will be held at Johnson Chapel Church, Decatur, AL.
