Mrs. Mary E. George Is Called By Death

Funeral services were held Thursday for Mrs. Mary E. George at Johnson Chapel Methodist church, a revered member of the Johnson Chapel community. The deceased had been a member of that church since girlhood, having become identified with the church at the age of 16 years.

Mrs. George was a native of Giles County, Tennessee, having been born June 6, 1850, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Holt.

The deceased is survived by two sons, J. T. George of Birmingham, H. G. George, of Hartselle route 2; four daughters, Mrs. D. D. Lake of Hartselle route 2, Mrs. P. C. Broadway, Oilton, Okla., Mrs. T. S. Lake of Decatur route 4 and Mrs. D. J. Walsh of Huntsville. Forty-six grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren survive. Two brothers and one sister survive, E. E. Holt of Texas, J. T. Holt of Memphis and Mrs. Sarah McAbee of Hartselle route 2.
