Velma was the fifth child and the first daughter of the 17 children in the General W. and Ita (Gosser) Eades family. She lived the last 50 years in Fortville, IN and had been a waitress at Buckley's Restaurant and The Post Restaurant in nearby Pendleton and had operated Velma's Beauty Shop for 20 years, retiring in 1983. Velma was a member and past officer of the VFW #6904 Ladies Auxiliary, Fortville, IN. She died unexpectedly at Riverview Memorial Hospital in Noblesville, Indiana following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leonard L. Jarrell; her parents; and four brothers. She was survived by her son David W. Jarrell or Ingalls; and her daughter Patricia (Rick) France of Indianapolis, 7 brothers, 5 sisters, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Of course with a large family, she had many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Arrangements handled by Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, Indiana.
