JOSEPH BASCO, 76, of Villas in Lower Township, died Saturday in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House.
Mr. Basco was a retired millwright for the Ford Motor Co. and Reynolds Metals of Chester, Pa.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Post 44 of Cape May, the United Auto Workers Union 918 of Chester, Pa., and the United Steel Workers at Chester Metals.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Chester-Upland, Pa., and Woodstown before moving here 19 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Susan C.; two daughters, Peggy J. Rabenold of Wilmington, Del., and Jo-Ann Cline of Villas; three brothers, Stanley Baskowsky of Trenton, Stanley Kulesa of Shipton, Pa., and Joseph Kulesa of Exton, Pa.; three sisters, Sophie Gross of Indianapolis, Ind., Stella Specht of Gloucester City and Jennie Urban of Baltimore; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
