Mathew DelFatti Sr., 86, died Nov. 26, 2001, in Klamath Falls.

Mr. DelFatti was born May 15, 1915, to Matteo and Maria DelFatti on the family homestead in Midland. He was the third of their five children.
He married Julia Warner on Sept. 12, 1934, in McMinnville and they made their home in Klamath Falls.
After leaving the family homestead in 1941, he worked at Pelican Bay Lumber Co. and various other lumber mills until retiring in 1980.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Some of his most favorite times were spent hunting with his son, Gerry, and going elk hunting in the Eagle Cap Mountains near Baker City.
He took particular pride in keeping up his yard and garden and highly valued the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was known by many names, including Matt, Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Papazino and Pappy.
Survivors include his wife, Julia DelFatti of Klamath Falls; son, Mathew D. DelFatti of Klamath Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Ken Moody of Keno; daughter-in-law, Marilyn DelFatti of Baker City; grandchildren, Brian and Kelly DelFatti of Gladstone, Markay and Monty Hindman of Riverside, Calif., and Lisa and Julie Moody of Keno; great-grandchildren, Allie Hindman of Riverside and Kyle and Kirby DelFatti of Gladstone; and numerous other family members.
