County Native Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Hattie L. Northam, 68, R.R. 1, Arlington, died at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in Rush County Memorial Hospital at Rushville where she had been a patient several weeks.
Born in Shelby County Sept. 13, 1900, she was the daughter of Samuel and Indiana (Query) Fessler. She had been a resident of Arlington and Blue Ridge communities her entire life and was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Church and the Rushville Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
She was married Sept. 16, 1922, to Clarence W. Northam who survives with a son, Richard Northam, Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Rosemary) Johnson, Suisun, Calif., and Mrs. Virgil (Joan) Parks, Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother, George Fessler, Blue Ridge.
Services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Moster and Sons Mortuary. Friends may call there after 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
