Mrs. Fannie Moon, wife of the late John Moon, passed away at her home here at midnight last night, after an illness of ten days, which was caused by pneumonia. She was born near this village 56 years ago and had always lived in this vicinity. Her parents were the late John and Lydia (Durrin) Thompson. Her husband, who died about 10 years ago, conducted a store here for a number of years. Mrs. Moon was a member of the local M.E. church. She was a woman of many virtues, hospitable and neighborly, and was well loved by all who knew her.
She leaves a daughter, Gertrude, of Gloversville, and two sisters, Mrs. Warner of White Plains and Mrs. Mary Taylor of Dolgeville.
The funeral will be held from the late home at 1 p.m. Friday, Reverend Mr. Potter of the Salisbury Center M.E. Church officiating and internment will be made in the Stratford Cemetery.
