Allen, Pauline Jenella Moreland. The life of Pauline Jenella Moreland Allen will be celebrated at a memorial service on April 18, 2009, 10:00 am, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mt. Hope, KS. Pauline passed peacefully from this life on January 18, 2009. She was born April 18, 1916, in Mt. Hope, to Harlan and Emma (Wright) Moreland. Her passion in life was music and she was known for her beautiful soprano voice and whistling. She graduated from Mt. Hope High School in 1934. She married Dwight Allen on December 31, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Geneva Dickerson and Gladys Pike. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Melcher. She is survived by her children, Jon Ronald (wife Linda McNeil), Loretta Allen Cash (husband Steve), Joel Dwight (wife Linda Judd), and Thomas Harlan (wife Dr. Molly Allen). In addition, she is survived by special nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline will be remembered as a mother who provided loving nurturing and sacrifice for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her musical talent, her wonderful cooking, and her patient and gentle spirit.
