Mount Hope Native Dies at Hutchinson
Mrs. Emma Moreland, 66, Hutchinson, Kan., a native of Mount Hope, died Sunday afternoon in Grace Hospital, Hutchinson, after a long illness.
Born Sept. 5, 1889, in Mount Hope, she married Harlan J. Moreland there in 1909. They moved to Hutchinson in 1943. Mr. Moreland died in 1945.
Mrs. Moreland was a member of First Methodist Church, Hutchinson. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Dickerson, Haven, Kan., Mrs. Dorothy Melcher, Marion, Kan., Mrs. Pauline Allen, Hutchinson, and Mrs. Gladys Pike, Eureka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Hope Methodist Church. The Rev. . Sanford King, of the Hutchinson Mennonite Church, and the Rev. Eldon Smoot, of Mount Hope Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Wulf Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
