Mrs. Ran Hudson
Killed by Auto
Jonesboro, Nov. 7th--Mrs. R. R. Hudson, 46 of Rush, near Yellville, died in a hospital here today as the result of injuries suffered when struck by an automobile near Leachville.
The Hudsons were returning to Leachville after attending a carnival. They had lived in Leachville only a few weeks, being employed as cotton pickers.
According to reports, Mrs. Hudson darted across the highway into the path of an automobile driven by Sam Key of Michigan, formerly of Manila.
Witnesses told officers the accident was unavoidable. Mr. Hudson suffered a fractured knee, being struck after the automobile had knocked his wife's body to the pavement. Their three children were not hit. --Arkansas Gazette.
The above article was a great shock to the many friends of the Hudson family in Marion county, as it was the first news received here. Her relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.
