Edna Marie Hanham - 77, of Hillcrest Manor, Truro and formerly of 193 Waller Drive, Truro, passed away December 26, 2000 in the Manor.
Born in Onslow, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Etta (Graham) Groves. In her earlier years, she was employed with the Truro Daily News and later went on to provide child care for many families.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Thomas; sons, William 'Bill' (Shelley), Greenwood; Robert, Truro; grandchildren, Josh, Truro; Mitchell, Greenwood; brothers, Fred (Hilda); Allison, Stanley (Joan), all of Onslow; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother, Ralph and Eric; sister Violet and a sister in infancy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, with Rev. Janet Blois officiating. Visitation and reception to follow the service.
