LAURA MAY WOODS, 88, peacefully ended her journey through life on March 14, 2009. A life long resident of Houston she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leonard Woods and her son Addison Woods. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Ellen and Mike Hudgens and Claudia and Rich Ruggiero. She was blessed with several grandchildren including Frank Steen III, James Steen, Wendy Cox, Michael Woods, Phillip Woods, Kady Woods, Anne Haskett, Rick Ruggiero and Chrissy Ruggiero. Laura has 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura grew up in the Heights and graduated from Reagan High School. She and her husband moved to Spring where she opened her own business, a feed store. Never one to shy away from hard work, she was a strong independent woman - and feisty to the end! We will be celebrating her life at services on Wednesday March 18, 2009 at the Bradshaw Carter Funeral Home, 1734 W Alabama Street (713-521-0066). There will be a viewing and visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
