Aged Citizen Passed Away After an Illness of Two Weeks.
At 11:45 o'clock last night Mr. W. C. Claytor, an aged citizen, died at his home on Duke street. He was 76 years of age and had been ill about two weeks, his death being caused from old age and general debility.
The funeral will be conducted from the home tomorrow morning ??? o'clock and the body will then be taken to Pleasant Green church, in Orange county, form interment.
Mr. Claytor was formerly a citizen of Orange county but had lived in Durham quite a while. He left a wife and ten children, five sons and five daughters. Three of his children live in Orange County, as follows: Mrs. Addie Wilkerson, Mrs. Cora Terry and David Claytor. The other seven live in Durham, as follows: Miss Rachel Claytor, Miss Carrie Claytor, Mrs. Hattie Jordan, Sam Claytor, W. L. Claytor, Miss Minnie Claytor* and Claude Claytor.
