Her Death Occurred at an Early Hour Yesterday Morning.
Mrs. W. C. Claytor died at her home on Duk [sic] street yesterday morning at 1 o'clock. She had been confined to her bed but one week, although she had been ill health for several months. Jaundice and old age were the causes that lead to her death. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this morning at 11 o'clock and the remains will be taken to Pleasant Green church, Orange County for interment.
But a short while ago Mrs. Claytor lost her husband and now her body will be laid beside the remains of her companion which rests in the Orange county grave yard. She left ten children, as follows: David Claytor, Mrs. J. W. Terry and Mrs. C. D. Wilkerson, of Orange County; Mrs. O. S. Jordan, Misses Rachel and Carrie Claytor, Messers. S. L., W. L., Numa R. and Claude C. Claytor, of this city.
Mrs. Claytor was 64 years of age and was a consistent member of the Second Presbyterian church in this city.
