Mrs. Clara McMurry, 92, of Winnfield, died Sunday, October 12, 1969, in the Winnfield hospital after a lengthy illness.

Last rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Mr. Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Allen Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. McMurry was born and reared in the Pleasant Hill community and spent most of her lifetime there until the past few years when she moved to Winnfield because of her health.

She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. A. P. Collins of that community and was the widow of the late Rev. J. A. "Add" McMurry. She was a member of Jehovah Witness Congregation.

Survivors include five sons, Troy McMurry, Arthur McMurry, both of Winnfield, Albert McMurry of Goodpine, Homer McMurry of Monroe, and Elmo McMurry of Amarillo, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Beulah McMurry, Mrs. Parker Long, Mrs. David Mixon, and Mrs. O. W. Allen, all of Winnfield, and Mrs. F. C. Turner of Hallsville, Texas; two half-brothers, J. W. Collins of Winnfield and J. H. Beard of Stonewall; two half-sisters, Mrs. Dewey Hinton of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Dosie Montgomery of Provencal, La.; and 21 grandchildren, 36 grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren.
