PROMINENT MC EWEN WOMAN PASSES AWAY MRS. LEONA J. IZATT OF McEWEN DIED YESTERDAY MORNING AT ST. ELIZABETH'S HOSPITAL
Mrs. Leona J. Izatt,of McEwen, died yesterday morning at St. Elizabeth's hospital from Bright's disease and heart trouble. Mrs. Izatt was born in Canada and later moved to Nebraska, then to Perry, Oregon, from where she went to the Sumpter valley in 1894. Her maiden name was Leona J. Tibbs and she was married to Alex S. Izatt in 1897 and moved to McEwen where they have since resided on their farm. She leaves two children, a daughter, Ellen and son Lloyd. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Tibbs and five brothers, Oliver, Sidney, James, Thomas and Charles Tibbs and one sister, Mrs. Mary Cole, also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the West Undertaking parlors. A special train from McEwen will arrive in Baker tomorrow and will return in the evening.
