OBITUARY -- JOEL C. CAYLOR

Joel C. Caylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Caylor, was born in Washington county, Va., September 7, 1861, and passed away at his home near Simmons, Mo., December 16, 1934, at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 9 days.

He came to Missouri in the year 1884 and has made his home in Texas county since that time.

He was married to Lizzie Edwards, December 25, 1890. He was a very worthy citizen and well liked by all friends and neighbors. He had united with the church when back in Virginia and he always lived a true and upright life.

Besides his devoted wife, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Matilda Wood, of Cabool, Mo.; Mrs. Emelia Mead, Cabool, Mo.; and Mrs. Eva Powers, of Springfield, Mo., to mourn their loss as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday, December 17th, by Rev. J.J. Carty, and interment followed in the Cabool cemetery, under the direction of the Elliott Funeral Home.

Joel C. Caylor was one of the most highly esteemed citizens of Texas county, a man of rugged honesty, who held the respect of a large circle of friends, who join in sympathy to the bereaved family.
