Alex Rehagen, 86, Rich Fountain, died Friday (15 Nov. 1996) at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born Jan. 13, 1910, in Rich Fountain, a son of Herman and Mary Brune Rehagen. He was married Oct. 30, 1934, in Freeburg to Emma Elizabeth Ruder, who survives at the home.
He was a truck driver for MFA Coop in Freeburg for over 35 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and the Western Catholic Union for more than 50 years.
Other survivors include: two sons, Francis P. Rehagen of O'Fallen, and Jerome H. Rehagen of Rich Fountain; three daughters, Mary Teresa Falter of Westphalia, Anne C. Falter of Freeburg, and Janet L. Waer of Jefferson City; one sister, Appolonia "Lonie" Wilde of Freeburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. the Rev. James Finder will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake will be at 4 pm today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Masses are suggested, with envelopes at the funeral home.
