Because John had no grave marker and the first set of original cemetery burial records from the early 1900's were destroyed in a fire, no one has been able to locate John's grave site. The present cemetery keeper was only given crude records starting about the 1920's. Luckily I found a man in Cleveland, OK who had made a copy of the original records in 1970 before the pre 1920 records were lost. With his information I found John's grave site located on row 12 going north to south. His first born with 2nd wife Eliza Jane is buried two sites to his left. Her name in Nora T. Sharp Harris.
In 2005 I had a stone placed on John's grave. Perhaps he had a stone at one time and it was vandalized or stolen. It is hard to beleive that none of his many children(he had 17) would have not placed a marker on his grave.
