THE IOLA REGISTER - SATURDAY - OCTOBER 15, 1966

Word was received Tuesday of the death of a former resident here. Charles Diver of Iola. At one time he was city marshall here. The Diver farm is southeast of town. Lawrence (Jack) Diver still lives here.

THE IOLA REGISTER, TUESDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 11, 1966

Charles Fredrick Diver, 77, 123 North Third Street, died this morning at the Allen County Hospital.

Mr. Diver was born at Garnett and was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a prosperous farmer.

Survisors include his wife Grace of the home; three daughters, Miss Roxie Belle Diver, New York City; Mrs. Charlene Jellison, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Catherine Potter, Springfield, Oregon; two brothers, Lawrence Diver, Neosho Falls, and Dr. Warren Diver, Coffeyville; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hage, Yates Center, Mrs. Dorothy Banze, Denver, and Mrs. Ann Ott, Iola; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Porter-Kinser Funeral Home. The Rev. James LaRue will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
