Mrs. Myrtle Stephens
Mrs. Myrtle B. Stephens, 72, of 241 Home Avenue, died at 2pm Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Springfield. She entered the hospital Sunday. A former resident of Sandy Hook, KY, she had lived here for five years. She was born in Elliott County, KY, Sep 23 1897, the daughter of Britt & Betty Holbrooks Fraley, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Esther) Williams with whom she made her home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Elbert (Marie) Carter of Springfield and Mrs. Ezra (Beulah) Howard of Sandy Hook; two sisters, Miss Josephine Fraley of Ashland, KY and Mrs. Sarah Williams of Portsmouth; two brothers, Trace Fraley of Gallipolis and Add Fraley of Ashland KY; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; two sons and two daughters. Services will be conducted at The Rocky Branch Baptist Church with burial in the Fraley Cemetery in Elliott Co KY. The McColaugh Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
