Mary Izetta (Zettie) McLain, 86 of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (3/10/2009) at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Hawkins County to the late Baker Arnold, who fought in the Civil War, and Will and Mary Manis Arnold Smith.
Zetta was preceded in death by her husband; Asa McLain, son; Donald Ray McLain, infant daughter; Delois Ann McLain, grandson; Gary Burrell, brothers; Robert and Gordon Arnold.
She is survived by her sons; Raymond McLain and Tina, James McLain and wife Ada, Lloyd McLain and wife Kathy all of Surgoinsville, Lyons McLain and wife Wendy, Marlon McLain and wife Sherry of Rogersville, daughters; Eva Burrell of Rogersville, Marie Bullis and husband Jerry of Church Hill, Phyllis Dugger and husband Gary, Avis Williams and husband Virgil both of Surgoinsville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday (3/11/2009) at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryan Thurman officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday (3/12/2009) at North Fork Cemetery.
