Phyllis Ferrell Dugger

Phyllis Ferrell Dugger, age 65, of Rogersville passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at Holston Valley Medical Center, Saturday (5/29/21). She was a member of Hope Community Church. She had unbreakable faith in God. Her sweet and kind spirit reflected Jesus' Love to everyone who knew her. She was a loving Wife, best Momma, and perfect Nana to her "joy, joy, joys", Mason, Jonah and Jackson. She was a loyal friend to many and encourager to everyone and always the first one to stick up for the underdog. The world was a better place with her in it.

Phyllis was a hairdresser for many years, then a property manager, all before helping her husband in his business. Following her retirement she and her husband enjoyed working with the ministry of Camp Hope, where she loved to volunteer in the kitchen and ride people around on the golf cart. There was nothing better to her than watching the kids at camp have fun and learn about Jesus. She was looking forward to camp this year.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; Calvin Ferrell, parents; Asa and Zetta McLain, sister; Delores McLain, brothers; Don and James McLain.

She is survived by her husband; Gary Dugger, daughters; Crystal and husband Jason Reeves, Jessica and husband Jonathan Helton, grandsons; Mason Reeves, Jonah and Jackson Helton, step children; Suzanne, Little Gary, Josh, and Catina, step grandchildren; William, Lauren, Tyler, Ally, Miley, Makayla, Brooklyn, Brittney and Allison, sisters; Eva Burrell, Marie Bullis and Avis Williams, brothers; Raymond, Lloyd, Lyons and Marlon McLain, and fur babies; Lil Bit, Emmie and Binx.

The family will receive friends Tuesday (6/1/21) at Camp Hope in New Canton, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm followed by a Celebration Service at 7:00 pm with Pastors, Doug Messer, Rip Noble, and Boe Beach officiating. Christian-Sells Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Camp Hope.
