Elihu Jones Jr.
Elihu Jones Jr., 83, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at his home.
He was a native of Hagarville, son of the late Elihu and Bethaney McAllister Jones, retired, and preceded in death by six brothers, Granville Jones, Leonard Jones, Columbus Jones, Elmer Jones, Ira Jones and an infant; and four sisters, Sara Townsend, Beulah Tumbleson, Leona Pitts and Nan Hodges.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Ellen Hodges Jones; two daughters, Delcie Tipton of Omaha and Vonnell Dybala of Martinsville, Ind.; two sons, Les Jones of West Plains, Mo., and Steve Jones of Knoxville; three sisters, Eula Owen of Lamar, Iva Rushing of Clarksville and Earlene Davis of Russellville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shane Dybala, Delane Davis, Shannon Owen, Jesse Jones, Van Ray Page, and Paul Wayne Duvall.
