OBITUARY, Brookville Democrat, Brookville, IN, Thursday, May 28, 1936:
Mrs. Ada Hannefey, 64, wife of Thomas Hannefey, died Monday morning at her home on Cracker Ridge, following a four years' illness. Survivors, other than the widower are three daughters, Mrs. Esther James of Andersonville, Mrs. Charlotte Bedill, Ee of Huntington, Ind., and Mrs. Susan Reeves, of Laurel, four sons, Thomas Hannefey, of Laurel, John of Indianapolis, and James and George, at home; a brother, Joseph N. Croddy, of Franklin county; and two sisters, Mrs. James Wilhelm and Mrs. Lizzie Alford, also of Franklin county. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the residence on State Road 52, with burial in Stipps Hill cemetery.
