age 70, of 24312 Hwy. 87 East, Riegelwood, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1933, in Nakina, N.C., to the late Charlie and Ellen Littles Faulk. Reverend Faulk was a member of Community Chapel Baptist Church, member of Woodman of the World, past Pastor of Piney Grove Advent Christian Church and Community Chapel Baptist Church. He was an avid Fisherman and Gardner and was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Nina B. Faulk of Riegelwood; four sons, David Michael Faulk of Wilmington, John D. Rollins and Michael D. Rollins both of Austin, TX, Thomas O. Crisp of Covington, Ga; five daughter, Rhonda Melton of Rocky Point, Sharon Batten of Cummings, GA, Anita Gerganous and husband Eddie of Hampstead, Lavon L. Rollins of Garland, TX, and Brenda J. Anderson of Rocky Point; two sisters, Lizzie L. Williamson and husband Leamon of Newport, Va., and Alma F. Long and husband Vance of Nakina; three brothers, Charles E. Faulk and wife Ruth of Wilmington, James O. Faulk and wife Esther of Camden, S.C., and Elmer Faulk and wife Elsie of Chadbourn; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, at Coble Ward-Smith Oleander Chapel with Reverend Martin Heath and Reverend Eugene Ridley officiating. Interment will follow in Weyman Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Melton, Bryan Gerganous, Adam Brennan, Jason Brennan, Terry Faulk and Chris Faulk.
The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Coble Ward-Smith Oleander Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Weyman Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, % Patsy Hargrove, 4627 Old Stage Hwy., Riegelwood, N.C. 28456.
