Funeral services for Mrs. Mintie Mar DeWitt, 71, of Chadwick who died December 16 were held Monday afternoon at 2 o´clock, in Spokane Baptist Church, with Rev. Max Hamilton officiating. Burial was inSpokane Cemetery under direction of Harris Funeral Home of Nixa. She was a native of the Spokane community, the daughter of William and Polly Hilton. In 1909 she was married to Jack DeWitt, who preceded her in death in 1937. Mrs. DeWitt was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Polly Hilton of Chadwick; three sons, Roscoe DeWitt of Chadwick, Charles DeWitt of Ozark and Harrison DeWitt of Winton, Calif; five daughters, Mrs. Fay Mangas of Forsyth. Mrs. Claudie Gideon of Chadwick, Mrs. Josie Gibson of Selmore and Mrs. Daisy Lofton of Santa Paula, Calif.; Four brothers, Newt Hilton and Ellis Hilton of Chadwick, Ben Hilton of Chestnutridge, and Joe Hilton of Batesville, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Abby of Claremore, Okla.; Mrs. Carrie Kerr of Live Oak, Calif; Mrs. Cora Hammond of Everett, Wash. and Mrs. Janie Spradling of Chadwick; 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
