Services for Gary E. Copeland will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church, Dodson, LA with Revs. Nicholas Verrett and M. F. Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, LA.
Friends may visit in the Southern Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 10 a.m. till service time in the church.
Mr. Copeland, age 48 of Dodson, LA died Tuesday, August 5, 2003 in the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, LA.
He was born in Homer, LA, was a graduate of Dodson High School and Louisiana Tech University, a member of the Cypress Creek Baptist Church where he served as treasurer and was a member of the cemetery board. He was a production supervisor and was an avid fisherman.
Survivors are his wife Rhonda Browning Copeland of Dodson, LA; one son, Kris Copeland and wife Laurie of Dodson, LA; one grandson, Bailey Copeland and one granddaughter, Taylor Copeland, both of Dodson, LA; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Preston Copeland of Dodson, LA; one brother, Steve Copeland and wife Angie of Ruston, LA; one sister, Pam Harvey and husband Wayne of Weston, LA; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are: Terry Jones, Jimmy Jones, Brian Jones, Woody Jones, Chad Robinson, Gary Browning, Joe Lynn Browning and Tommy Chellette.
