On February 26, 1994, our Mama Joy's guardian angel took her home to be received in the arms of her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her loving family and friends waiting to welcome her. She as finally found peace after suffering for many years from Alzheimer's Disease.
Born August 2, 1909 in Ephraim, Utah to Hyrum and Zina Frederickson Bosen. Married Dorsel Rex Bills February 2, 1928 in Salt Lake city. He passed away December 12, 1967. Joy was active in the LDS church and especially loved her years of teaching Primary, Sunday School and Mutual. She was active in the Alpha Chi Omega Mothers' Club and served as Mothers' Club President.
The beauty of this mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend did not fade, and through the years her sweetness, loveliness and gentle nature remained. Her life was one of dedication to her family, husband, children, brothers and sisters, nieces and cousins. She was the gentle peacemaker, the comforter and the optimist in the face of adversity. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
She is survived by daughters, Bette Maack and Donna Bills of Salt Lake; and adopted children, Lynda Bills and Tom bills of Salt Lake and Calvin Bills of San Jose, California; sister, Una Poulsen, West Valley; her grandchildren, Michael Maack, Leslee Gray, Dana Maack, John Maack and Amanda bills, all of Salt Lake; and Justin Bills, San Jose California.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wendell Bosen, Juel Bosen, Afton Bosen, Calvin Bosen and Boyd Bosen.
to you Mama Joy, we want you to know the greatest gift you gave us was your love, which leaves precious memories through our tears, memories of your patience, gentleness, encouragement, your special way of understanding, your independent spirit, and your faith and hope in tomorrow. You taught us to believe in ourselves and to always keep our sense of humor. You will be remembered also for you compassion and love for children and how you loved God's beautiful earth, especially the flowers and the sunsets. You will always be within our hearts, forever near, forever dear, as the day breaks and the shadows flee away.
Burial at Larkin Sunset Garden Cemetery.
