Aaron was a son of Chloe Chubbock and Levi Frisbie, Jr. He was a twin with sister Chloe, but she died at 4 yrs. and 9 months. The rest of his siblings were: Chloe Catherine, Eaton Nathaniel, Wilber Erskine, Laura Pamela and Joseph Austin.

He was brought up on the homestead farm and received a common-school education.

An excerpt from "The Aaron Frisbie Family home page":

"...His farm was located in Allis Hollow, and contained 100 acres of land, which he cleared and fitted for the plow, and here he lived from his twenty-fourth year until 1867, when he removed to his present farm known as the "Minor Taylor" farm, which is well stocked with cattle, horses, etc... was for years a member of the Orwell Artillery Company; he was elected second lieutenant of that organization on May 14, 1846, and promoted to captain on June 23, 1847 and to major on June 4, 1849. During the Rebellion he served in the construction corps attached to the Army of the West, and spent five months in Tennessee. He married Sarah Ordelia Darling on December 5, 1850. Their children were: William Eaton, Ann Elizabeth, Stuart Gaylord, Frank Darling (who lived 7 years and about 7 months), Levi Abel, Laura Chloe, "infant" Frisbie (died at 3 weeks old) and Katherine "Katie".
