A former North Star area farmer, Frank J. Liette, 71, died at 3:30 pm, Saturday at his home in St. Henry following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am at the St. Henry Catholic church with burial in St. Louis cemetery at North Star. Friends may call at the Romer funeral home in St. Henry until the hour of services. Mr. Liette had resided in St. Henry for the last 13 years and was a member of the Catholic church there, its Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Lydia; 4 sons, Clarence and Hubert of New Weston; Wilfred and Norbert of St. Mary's; 5 daughters, Mrs. Andrew Greer of Troy, Mrs. Leon Heine of Chickasaw, Mrs. Cyril Dues of St. Henry, Mrs. Robert Stammen of North Star and Mrs. Joseph Schmidt of McCarthysville; 34 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. There are also 2 sisters, Theresa Liette of North Star and Mrs. Adrian Berger of West Milton, and 4 brothers, Leonard of North Star, Adrian of Fort Recovery, Raymond of New Weston and Bernard of Houston.
