Mrs. Jennie E. Jones, wife of Mr. J. W. Jones, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at her home, No. 912 North Caldwell street. She was 36 years of age. Before her marriage she was Miss Jennie Underwood, a native of Gaston county. Several children survive. Her death occurred under distressing circumstances. A serious turn was not anticipated until Monday when she suddenly became critically ill. The funeral will be conducted from the residence today and the interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
