She was born July 16, 1896 in Liberty twp., the daughter of E. Clark and Pearl Cosgrove McKim and was a 57 year member of Ninth St. United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Women's Society of Christian Service and Kate B. Sherwood Tent 42 Daughters of Union Veterans.
Mrs. McConkey leaves one daughter, Mrs. Helen Buckey, Cambridge; 3 sons, William and Ernest (Bus) McConkey both of Cambridge and Gordon McConkey, Springfield; 31 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Mrs. Nellie Penter, Mercer, Pa. and Mrs. Kathryn Hinds, North Salem and one brother Raymond McKim of Tennessee. Her husband Edward died August 3, 1941. One son, two daughters, two sisters and one brother ware also deceased.
Friends may call at Scott Funeral Home from 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend Albert J. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in North Salem Cemetery.
