Susie Catherine Caylor was born near Muscoda, Wisconsin in Grant county and passed away at her home in Angelo on April 9, 1941, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 11 days. She grew into womanhood during the early pioneer days in Richland county and on Nov. 11, 1875, she was united in marriage with Levi Davis. To this union 15 children were born. Her husband, four daughters and one son have preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, six sons, 77 living grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian mother, grandmother and friend and was always ready and willing to assist those in need. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Dutton in Angelo. Interment was in the Sparta cemetery.
