A 1860c of Watauga Co., lists Thomas hoh b. abt 1819, and his wife, Lucinda, b abt 1824.
Thomas Swift married Lucinda Greene, on February 24, 1844, in Ashe County, N.C.
Thomas Swift died sometime after 1900, as in a 1900c, his wife Lucinda, has died, he is listed as living in the household, of one of thier sons, George W. Swift, and is age 81. So the death year of 1904, and his birth year, are just both estimates.

Thomas was the son of John Samuel Swift(1789 - c1860) and Martha Isaacs (c1790-May 1880). John was son of Elias Swift and Jane Hayes. Martha was daughter of Richard Isaacs and Ann Robbins.
