Mrs. Anona Simpson remembered her cousin Walter Yates as a fairly wild young man. She said her father, L. D. Yates, used to get him out of scrapes when the Solomon Yates family lived at LaHarpe, Kans.

From the Colorado death certificate of Walter A. Yates, we learn that he was widowed and was living in Denver, Colo. He was a truck driver and died of heart trouble. The certificate states that he was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Adams County. That cemetery apparently is in both Adams and Denver Counties.
