Robert A. "Bob" Arnold, 87

Robert A. "Bob" Arnold, 87, 511 Twin Lakes Ave., died at 11:25 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

He was born in Logansport on April 20, 1914, to Mason John and Blanche Cummins Arnold. He married Mary Virginia Jones in Logansport on May 15, 1934. She survives.

He was a 1932 graduate of Logansport High School.

He was the plant manager of Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello for 39 years, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of Monticello United Methodist Church.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Libanus Masonic Lodge 154 F&AM in Monticello. He was also the charter secretary of the Jaycees in Monticello.

He gave years of dedicated service to the Three Rivers Council Boy Scouts of America. He had concern for Camp Buffalo and outstanding leadership as Council President. He received the Silver Beaver Award in 1968. He and his wife donated funds toward the building of the swimming pool at Camp Buffalo.

Other survivors include daughters, Barbara J. Rodehan and Deborah K. Wakeland, both of Monticello; a sister, May Louise Bloom of Logansport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A brother, Mason J. Arnold, two sons and a great-grandson are deceased.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, with a Masonic service to begin at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Hope Cemetery Chapel, Logansport, with the Rev. James R. Copeland officiating.

Memorials may be made to Monticello United Methodist Church or the Boy Scouts of America.
