Frances Florence Whyte was born in North Amherst (now Amherst), Lorain Co., OH.

She was the daughter of Francis "Frank" Whyte and Margaret Frazier.

She married (first) John Raesler on 5 Mar 1918 at the Parsonage of St. Peter Evangelical Church in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH.

She married (second) Sidney B. Murdock on 8 Aug 1946 in OH.

Frances died from cerebral anoxia and was buried 28 Oct 1975.

ELYRIA AREA DEATHS MRS. SIDNEY MURDOCK

Mrs. Frances F. Murdock (nee Raesler), 78, of 292 Greenlawn Ave., Amherst, died this afternoon at Amherst Hospital after a two-week illness.

Born Sept. 5, 1897, she was a lifelong Amherst resident.

Mrs. Murdock was a charter member of the Amherst Eagles Auxiliary and was formerly active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Robert D. Raesler, Amherst; three daughters, Mrs. Lee (Florence) Leuszler, Amherst, Mrs. John F. (Dorothy) Koba, both of Amherst, and Mrs. Gale (Joyce) Hughes, Vermilion; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Viola Benton, LeMesa, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney B. Murdock; five brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call at the Garland Funeral Homes, Amherst, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Russell Behm, assistant pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst, will officiate.

Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.

Funeral services for Frances Florence Murdock, nee Raesler, 78, were Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Garland Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Behm, assistant pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ officiating.

Burial was in Crownhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Murdock died Oct. 25 in Amherst Hospital after a two-week illness. She lived at 292 Greenlawn Ave.
