This is believed to be Joseph Bennett Truly's burial plot.

Information provided by Donna Schulte Loth:

According to his death certificate, Joseph Bennett Truly was born August 9, 1872, the son of W. P. and Ann Fox Truly. I have seen his mother's name also listed as Nancy Ann Bennett Fox Truly, so I suspect she was married before she married W. P. Truly.

Joseph was married at least twice; first to Agnes Nietze Mardorf, then to Minnie M. Shepherd. Joseph and Agnes apparently divorced between 1910 and 1920. Minnie had been married previously as well, since the 1920 Federal Census shows her, Joseph and Joseph's stepson, George Shepherd, living in the same household in Texas.

Joseph Truly died May 23, 1933 in Eastland County, Texas. Again according to his death certificate, he died suddenly in his sleep, probably due to heart disease.
