Benjamin Hepler was born (and died) in Upper Mahantongo (area now part of Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA.

He was the son of Johan Casper Hepler, Jr. and Anna Maria Schmidt.

NOTE: Benjamin Hepler was the first to be buried in Zion's Evangelical Congregational Church Cemetery.
