Married to Bartlett Fleming 10 Dec. 1826. He died bef 1840. Married 2nd husband, Elijah Clark, Sr. 1840. From the time Elijah Sr. and Sophia were married, they kept a well educated employee to teach their children. Pleasant Hill in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana in 1842 was just that, pleasant. Elijah Clark and Sophie Sheets, his wife, were well-to-do plantation owners.
