Father Wm. Stieneke departed easily and blessed on the 2nd of December 1886. In the last year of his life he lost his strength very quickly; at last he became so weak he wished to depart and be with Christ. This wish is now fulfilled. His end was peaceful. … Fifty years ago he emigrated from Ladbergen, Prussia. His first wife and one child preceded him into blessed eternity. Five children and his second wife, with whom he shared nearly 20 years of a peaceful marriage, are still living. They look to him in faith and hope.
